By request of the community comes this weekly post. Please use this post to list website popbacks that you see on your wishlist, via search engines, or in your shopping cart. Newest pretties I'm loving at Anthropologie

Wednesday, October 28, 2015

Anthropologie is unveiling some beautiful new sweater dresses, like this one above.
The scarf is also so pretty!

Ready to fill up your Anthropologie wishlis...oh, right. Well, wishlist or not, there is a lot of pretty new stuff at Anthropologie right now that I can't wait to try on at the store later today! And yes, Free Shipping with no minimum is still here, no code required!

We could start right now with sweater dresses where the dress topping this post has me drooling, not to mention the equal but different stunning-ness of the Tinhara Sweater Dress ($248) and the Chevron Sweater Skirt ($98). Lots more to adore inside...

First dibs! Shop Anthropologie's November New Arrivals First

Monday, October 26, 2015

Some classic Anthro details in a new modern shape...nice!

Anthropologie seems to know that we are ready for some new pieces to drool over, so this morning it welcomed the week with its First Dibs page for November. This page is only going to be live for about 36 more hours after which time it...self destructs? I don't really know. It certainly dovetails nicely with the Free Shipping with no minimum that also launched this morning.

The Embroidered Perennial Dress ($198) topping this post is one of my favorites -- I spotted it in-store during a quick purchase trip and will go back on Wednesday to try it on. I can't wait! Also making its formal introduction is the 'Ice Blue Princess Coat' which we now know is really called the Collared Beatrix Coat ($348). I gotta tell you ladies, I tried this one on and I was not nearly as enamored of it as many in the community have been. But I totally get the appeal. The Larkin Dress ($168) and Minette Dress ($198) seem much more up my alley, love those t-straps with the latter dress too!

Over in shiny sparkly territory I'm loving the Starry Night Skirt ($225), the Moonbeam Skirt ($168), the Miss Albright Skylar Heels ($128), the Sunniva Earrings ($88) and the Pearl-Swept Velvet Pouch ($68)...oh, and the amazing Giza Ring ($68). LOVE!

What is your favorite item from the first dibs page? Will you order anything while Free Shipping/no minimum is in effect?

Free Shipping is back, with an especially sweet threshold!

How about a little Monday morning treat for Anthropologie lovers? Beginning today, and lasting through we don't know when (but probably only a day to three), Anthropologie is offering Free Shipping with no minimum on its website!

There is NO CODE REQUIRED for this promo which means that October birthdays (and perhaps November ones as well) you should be able to combine the birthday discount with this offer! I guess Anthro, like everyone else, knows better than to mess with Scorpios.

As usual my eye goes first to the online exclusives in both clothing and shoes/accessories that are on my wishlist. Tops on my list right now are the Zella Skirt ($178), the Diamond Dot Vegan Leather Skirt ($178) and the Astin Wrap Skirt ($128) which I already own and love.

I also recently purchased several pairs of earrings from Anthropologie and I like them all! They include the Entendre Hoops ($78), the Dollop Drops ($32), the Urchin Studs ($32), the Linton Earrings ($34), the Snowpetal Posts ($34) and the Elemental Threaded Earrings ($44). All of these are lightweight and beautiful in person! One note about the Elemental Threaded Earrings, the hole in the blister card they're sold on is so tiny, I was afraid of breaking the earrings when I removed them! Kinda tricky. Then of course there is this gorgeous pair, which I love but will wait for a sale on.

Do you plan to take advantage of this offer? If so, what are you ordering? A few things I really wanted sold out right from under me! Those low stock orders sure are tricky...

The day the wish lists died

Thursday, October 22, 2015

An Anthro fan ponders just what to write in her hate letter, and smiles when she comes up with something good.

Yesterday the community here was livid to discover that our Anthropologie.com wishlists had mysteriously shrunk from whatever size they were (in my case, all 400+ items) down to 100 items. Not only that, in order to add any more items to our newly slimmed-down lists, we'd have to delete at least another 25 items as the new wishlist limit appears to be 75 items.

The community is angry and this post serves mostly as an open discussion thread, adding to the many comments about it in this week's sale post. Inside, my thoughts on the matter and then I turn it over to all of you...

Updated: Playing the Sale Guessing Game

Monday, October 19, 2015

Anthropologie is shifting its sale schedule around once again -- instead of Monday being sale day this week, sale is on the way tomorrow! Will tomorrow's sale be big or small? I'm not sure, so let's play the Sale Guessing Game and wonder what might be marked down tomorrow!

Note: Updated inside with some items our tipsters tell us will be on sale tomorrow...

Take 20% off your full-price Anthropologie purchase this weekend!!!

Friday, October 16, 2015

This weekend, take 20% off full-price delights like the new Marled Mock-Neck Pullover ($118).

Anthropologie has surprised us with a wonderful weekend treat -- this weekend only, take 20% off your full-price purchaseUse the code FALLFUN at checkout. This promo is also valid in stores. Note that it only works on apparel -- bags, shoes and jewelry are apparently not included.

As usual, this promo is the weekend before my spending budget replenishes (boo) so I'm likely sitting this one out. However if I were in for this among the top items I'd want are the  AG Velvet Legging Jeans ($188), the Astin Wrap Skirt ($128), the Colorblocked Knit Pencil Skirt ($98), the Acanthe Skirt ($98), and the Felted Floral Cardigan ($128). I'm also loving the Perseid Sequin Dress ($343) as a potential holiday party dress!

Cruising the sale, Part II

Wednesday, October 14, 2015

Warm (cape), work-ready (dress) and not excluded.

Picking up where we left off this morning, another one of my favorite non-Anthro retailers, Saks Fifth Avenue, is also having its Friends & Family promotion right now! The promo is online-only at the moment and in-store beginning tomorrow.

Much like Shopbop, Saks is offering 25% off your purchase using the code THANKYOU at checkout. However, the list of exclusions is long. Lllllllloooooonnnnnggggg. I have to be honest, while I was assembling this post I got shot down on so many of the items I wanted to include that I almost didn't write it.

In the end, inside are the few items from my wishlist that are included in this promo. I love Saks but I hope they rethink this...thanking customers but then excluding what feels like 70% of their items from a promo is not a pleasurable experience. It kinda takes all the fun out of shopping...

Cruising the sale, Part I

October may as well be renamed Friends & Family month for retailers! These promos are a stellar way to grab fall items for a discount if you don't want to wait til they hit sale (which usually happens after I'd want to wear the items anyway).

My want list is long and fun to share so I'm going to dip into a few of the sales happening right now! First up, Shopbop. Their Friends & Family promo is on now through October 15, 2015 -- take 25% off your order using the code INTHEFAM25 at checkout.

Inside, a few of my favorite picks...

A stellar sale is on at J.Crew Factory!!

Monday, October 12, 2015

If your fall work & weekend closet are feeling a little less than revelatory right now, J.Crew Factory is here to help with a stellar Columbus Day deal: 50% off your entire purchase! This is pretty deep discounting even by this inexpensive store's standards, and you can sweeten the pot further with free shipping too by using the code YAYFALL at checkout.

I've picked out a few of my favorite outfit ideas to showcase, plus inside details on a few items I've purchased from here recently and loved...

Nine new things I love on Anthropologie's site this morning

Elevenses always makes great coats, and I'm very impressed that this one is under $300.

Anthropologie keeps sneaking lots of pretties online right under my nose. My overflowing wishlist has reached back-breaking levels and I'm struggling to keep winnowing it down to an overall total within my spending budget. What a lovely problem to have! It's nice to see so much to love among all of Anthro's newest pretties.

Aside from wanting to wrap up in the beautiful, warm-looking coat topping this post, my wishlist recently got these new additions too. Speaking of warm things, I'm over the moon about this tile-printed, faux-fur hood anorak from Hei Hei; this tiered sweatshirt looks adorable and has a bit of a Field Flower by Wendi Reed vibe to it, no?; I love the Peter Pan collar on this top though I wish the bottom didn't flare out so much (perhaps it's not as dramatic in real life); my love for all things polka dot continues with this comfy-looking Moth pullover (though oh my god those 90s mom jeans look hideous); I've been waiting for this necklace to appear online ever since I saw it paired with the black & white Anzere Print Tank -- and if you scroll through the artist's blog you can see all her order for Anthropologie in progress, how fun!; these Kelsi Dagger tall boots need to be mine as do these fringed Dolce Vita calf-height booties; for dressier days I love these Sam Edelman d'orsays.

Oh, one more bonus item: I received one of these candles as a gag gift and I think their names are hilarious! And it smells so good too. I received The Overthinker. These will be a great holiday gift (I know, I know. I'm trying not to talk about it before Thanksgiving.)

What are you newly loving from Anthropologie this morning?

A new Anthropologie promo is here and it's a good one!

Friday, October 9, 2015

Curious about the Lourdes Swing Dress ($178)? You can try it now for 20% off!

Ahh, this is a good one! For a limited time, Anthropologie is offering 20% off its dressesUse the code DRESSCODE at checkout.

Is this the promotion you've been waiting for? I'm pretty excited about. And also torn. Do I use this code on something that may never hit sale, like the Carissima Sheath ($258) or the Mona Dress ($258)? On something pricey, like the Ephemere Dress ($598)?

Or perhaps I should go for something I've tried on and loved, like the Brindille Sheath ($158, review), the Embroidered Brocade Dress ($268, review) or the Rose Garland Dress ($298, review)? A dress I haven't tried yet but really want to, like the Fara Surplice Dress ($148)? Or should I go for an online exclusive like the Saba Shift Dress ($268)?

Decisions, decisions. In any event I am very happy to see this promo! It's both in-store and online and I have no clue when it expires. Are you delighted too?

Time to wrap up

Thursday, October 8, 2015

Scarf weather, never better. (photo source via Pinterest)

Yesterday, in the lovely chill of fall, I was walking around midtown Manhattan in my leather jacket with a huge scarf wrapped around me when I passed my nearly outfit twin -- the only difference being her look was in tones of black while mine was in tones of brown.

Yes, it's that time again! The time when wrapping ourselves up becomes extra fun, especially with a blanket scarf. Inside, some quick outfit ideas and some of my favorite blanket scarves currently out there...

UPDATED: Anthropologie's SALE is here to warm us up!!

Sunday, October 4, 2015

Anthropologie's latest cuts are here! The Fresh Cuts sale page has now updated with all of the latest sale items -- six pages worth. There's lots of jewelry and accessories this time around, some pairs of bootes and shoes and a lot of summer leftover clothing that I thought would be on sale a month or so ago.

There's plenty to choose from no matter what you're hunting for and 2nd/3rd/etc cuts too! Thank you to this community's fabulous tipsters and all the ladies playing along in the Sale Guessing Game post with me last night.

Today is the last day for Free Shipping on orders of $150+ -- use the code XTRAXTRA at checkout.

As always, happy hunting! Inside, sale!

Playing the Sale Guessing Game

Little blue birdies tell me a sale is on the way tomorrow! Plus, further cuts on items already on sale. With the extra 30% off all sale items promotion ending tonight (use the code XTRAXTRA at checkout) the timing is right.

So let's play the Sale Guessing Game and wonder what might be marked down tomorrow!

Time to take another look? Anthro sweetens the post with Free Shipping plus an extra 30% off sale!

Friday, October 2, 2015

There's nothing that makes a weekend better than Free Shipping. Right, Anthropologie? So they've obliged us and sweetened their extra 30% off all sale items pot with Free Shipping on orders of $150+ -- use the code XTRAXTRA at checkout.

At this point I feel like I've gotten everything out of the sale section I wanted though with the popbackstravaganza these last couple of days I won't say I'm totally done. But these Free Shipping promos usually have me looking more towards online exclusives where items like the Pom Field Beanie ($130), Zella Mini Skirt ($178) and about a thousand other items suddenly seem more palatable.

And oh, the boots that are tempting me right now! Very tempted to order the Kelsi Dagger Emma Tall Boots ($225) which have that expandable back panel my calves need and the Cubanas High Field Booties ($198) which look kinda cool with their gilded heel, no?

One sweep through the jewelry section, where the Altara Bracelets ($44) very much want to be mine and then it's order placed and a satisfied smile on my face.

Will you take advantage of this latest promo? Feel free to list popbacks here!
