Eye Candy: Anthropologie May 2014 Lookbook

Saturday, April 26, 2014

Anthropologie's May 2014 Lookbook has been unveiled! This time around the setting is Mexico -- read all about it and see a cute video on Anthro's official blog. I like the second half of the catalogue better than the first, mostly because of all the white which I love in high summer. There's no denying this clothing would be perfect in a tropical or beach setting. Would this stuff work on the streets of Manhattan in the middle of summer? That's a little more challenging to reconcile.

I'm still waiting for the city girl goes to work Anthropologie catalogue. I know it's in there somewhere...

Shimmered Azucar Tunic ($98), Pilcro Denim Roll-Up Shorts ($78),
Chambray Trim Rancher ($48), Velutina Necklace ($58).
Beachy summer perfection. I could see wearing this to the Hamptons or the Rockaways.

Chapala Poncho ($198), Viajero Tote ($168).
I'd wear this at night by the beach campfire.

Amapola Dress ($148), Joya Sandals ($118).
Perhaps the ideal summer dress.

Small Diamond-Weave Pouf ($198), Diamond-Weave Chair ($168-$398),
Diamond-Weave Ottoman ($168-$398), Lupine Hanging Planter ($20),
Talavera Outdoor Rug ($10-$548).
I want to go to this pool party!!

Eyelet Embroidered Sheet Set ($68-$258), Regency Linen Bed ($2,258-$2,598),
Shimmering Sunset Pillow ($148-$228), Florentine Curtain ($188-$248),
Lotus Blossom Wingback Chair ($1,398), Silk Sable Rug ($10-$1,298).
And then fall asleep here afterwards.

Zaca Heels ($120), Tucker Parrot Sunglasses ($58), Viento Bucket Bag ($248).
This look I could see wearing in NYC, though I'd swap in flat sandals.

Level 99 Linen Shorts ($68), Serenata Layered Necklace ($48).
Dubious about the cardigan but I do love the proportions of this look.
I am, however, over these super breezy tanks that look like tents on.

Capuchina Dress ($138, review), Sueno Sandals ($118).

What do you think of the May 2014 Anthropologie catalogue? In addition to these items, I'm also intrigued by several new dresses: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5; this robe and this top. What items made it to your cart or wishlist? Which items don't make sense to you?
