The weekend in-store community post

I have noticed a lot of community members sharing in-store deals and spots in the comments of various posts. Inspired by the weekly Seek & Find posts started by the lovely Alexis over at J.Crew Aficionada, I think now is a good time to start a similar weekly post here.

{Weekly} Popbacks Open Thread

Note: Today is the LAST DAY for Free Shipping on USA orders over $100 at Anthropologie.com. Get the full details hereEye Candy will run tomorrow, Reader Outfits on Sunday! (To send your Reader Outfit in, simply email me.)

By request of the community comes this weekly post. Please use this post to list website popbacks that you see on your wishlist, via search engines, or in your shopping cart. Popbacks go very quickly but hopefully by having them in one place will be helpful. Please do not use this post for store sightings -- those should go into the weekly Weekend In-Store Community Post which runs on Fridays at 12:05 PM ET.

Reviews: Cherrywood Studded Boots, Studded Strap Booties

Temptation in boot form.

Come fall and winter the streets of NYC become one big, slushy, smelly mess. Nothing really makes you feel clean besides a nice shower but to help keep yourself a bit fresher during the day an elevating pair of boots works wonders. Suddenly above the mess and feeling great, a good pair of boots is an instant pick-me-up. Each fall Anthropologie unveils a great line of boots and each fall I find myself happy with the short offerings and disappointed by the tall offerings, which never seem to take anything besides "normal" calf widths into consideration. I've got one pair of tall and one pair of short in this set.

Eye Candy: Anthropologie October 2012 catalogue

Good morning ladies! Anthropologie has started sneaking its October 2012 catalogue photos online as new arrivals spill into place on the website. Not every new item is online yet so some question marks may remain. I just wanted to get this up as quickly as possible because I'm so excited and want to know what the community thinks!

Recap: It's Anthropologie on TV with Joe Zee's All on the Line!

(note: all screencaps in this post were captured by me.)

WARNING: IMAGE-HEAVY POST.

Anthropologie may not be much for marketing but every once in awhile they craftily sneak onto our TVs. The Sundance Channel's All on the Line with Elle Magazine Creative Director Joe Zee is one of my favorite shows. Now in its second season, the show follows Mr. Zee as he critically and precisely evaluates struggling designers' looks, presentations and business plans and mentors them through a mini project and a buyer's presentation. Mr. Zee hand-selects the designers featured on the show so you know these are people whose talent he believes in, not some producer-selected drama queens.

This week Anthropologie got involved with a designer who's young, whimsical and hopefully right up the brand's alley. How did she do? Full recap after the jump.

Eye Candy: Store Inspiration

From the Soho (NYC) Anthropologie

By now hopefully you've read about the October dress preview and FREE SHIPPING anthro member perk! (If not the post is right here.)

And now it's time to take a cruise around the New York City Anthropologies for another edition of Eye Candy: Store Inspiration. This week it's clear that fall and winter are on the way, with more long pants and sweaters replacing the skirts and shorts of just a few weeks ago. Fall is one of my favorite seasons and I'm inspired by the Manhattan Anthropologie visual teams' adept layering. A dozen more looks after the jump! If you'd like to submit a photo for the Eye Candy: Store Inspiration monthly contest please read the guidelines and then send in your shot! On to the dress forms..

anthro perk: FREE SHIPPING on Anthropologie.com orders of $100+! AND an October dress preview.

Note: Eye Candy: Store Inspiration will run later today.

Anthropologie's got another anthro card holder perk this morning: FREE SHIPPING is back on orders of $100+ at Anthropologie.com with the code YOUFIRST. You must be signed into your account to see the offer. Plus, there's a link to pre-shop some of October's upcoming items. More after the jump...

A reviews set plus a story within, featuring the Floral Still Life Pullover ($148) and more.

The Anthropologie clothing reviews are piling up on my hard drive. Time to get them out there on the interwebs!

Eye Candy: Store Inspiration

from the Rockefeller Center (NYC) Anthropologie
Sleeveless Pompom Sweater ($288), Tulipa Embroidered Skirt ($128),
Wind Tunnel Double Scarf ($48), Boras Bag (now $180), Ophidian Booties ($148).

Due to this past weekend's special anthro cardholder perk I didn't get a chance to run this post so instead we get a special Tuesday edition of Eye Candy: Store Inspiration! All of these photos were taken at the Rockefeller Center Anthropologie, where the store windows are pieces of art. Apologies for the glare which is nearly unavoidable for this still-amateur photographer. I think even with the vans and such bleeding in you can still see the amazing windows on display at Anthro's NYC flagship. I love how there's both flora in 3-d within the windows and additional flowers drawn on the windows (best seen in the shot with the Painted Ikat Dress). Not to mention the beautiful outfits!

Anthropologie's Petites trunk show continues its road trip! Next stop...

Note: If you're looking for today's sale post it's right below this one.

Attention NYC-area petite Anthropologie fans! This coming Thursday and Friday (September 20 & 21, 2012) Anthro will be trucking its petite trunk show into the Upper East Side store at 71st St and 3rd Ave. Petite items are normally only available online.

Many of the items you've been waiting for have FINALLY hit Anthropologie SALE!

Waiting on dress markdowns? This might be your lucky as a mix of poor sellers and coveted pieces went on sale! Included in the mix are many of the Bailey 44 column dresses, with the exception of the column dress I was hoping for (the Maia Column Dress, which remains stubbornly full price). In addition to dresses most of the other clothing categories saw cuts, as did shoes. Click on through to the other side to see the list.

Playing the Sale Guessing Game

After yesterday's perk day for anthro card holders, I wonder if we'll see markdowns tomorrow. Store employees seem to be hinting yes...and I certainly hope so too! Let's play the Sale Guessing Game and send sale vibes Anthropologie's way.

Eye Candy: Effortless Anthro Reader Outfits!

Shoes: J. Crew (old)
Necklace: Groopdealz

If your post-Perk Day blues are just beginning, why not cheer yourself up with today's fantastic set of Reader's Outfits? In some parts of the country an Indian summer reigns supreme while in other parts it's chilly enough for light sweaters. So we've got a great mix of summer and fall this week from our wonderful contributors. Please show your love for these amazing ladies in the comments! On to the Eye Candy...

The perk is here! Anthro card holders get 20% off full price clothing and accessories TODAY ONLY!!!

The anthro cardholders-only perk has been unveiled -- today (Saturday, September 15, 2012) enjoy 20% off your full priced clothing and/or accessories purchase! Truly the Mayans must have been right as Anthropologie only does promotions like this when hell freezes over.

This discount is valid both in-stores and online. If you use the perk online be sure to enter ANTHRO20 at checkout. Will this perk help you pull the trigger? On bigger ticket items this would certainly be a boon. I only wish furniture was included. Please use this as an open thread to discuss the promotion.

Anthropologie makes today 2nd/3rd/etc SALE cut day!!

Anthropologie made an off-schedule move this morning, introducing a bunch of 2nd/3rd/etc cuts. I confess I don't keep track of these as well as I do fresh cuts so this post will feature sale items that appear to be further reductions to me. Have cuts to add? Please let the community know in the comments! Happy Hunting as always!!!

Is this the big sale event we were told was coming on Saturday? I'm not sure.

This post is in progress and will be updated.

Dealing with multiple fashion personalities

Note: Have you voted in the Eye Candy: Store Inspiration contest yet? Today is the last day -- please help choose a winner!!

No one will ever accuse my closet of being boring. But they might take a look inside and wonder if I live with two roommates, or if I'm secretly a musician or aspiring actress. When they ask I can only laugh it off until it's time to haphazardly throw together my next outfit. My multiple fashion personalities are keeping my closet from being truly cohesive!

Anthropologie knows home is where the SALE is

This morning we awaken not to a clothing sale (sad) but to a small sale for the home. Looks like Anthropologie marked down some afterthoughts, though there are a few treasures in the list. What got marked down today? Check the list after the jump.

I'll be back later today with another post!

Playing the Sale Guessing Game

Anthropologie's sale pattern is a bit unstable right now. Last week saw a holiday delay clothing markdowns by a day. Anthro seems to have fallen back into its habit of clothing markdowns every other week, but there's so much clothing that's due to hit sale that I can't help but wonder if there will be cuts tomorrow. What will Monday bring this week? Let's play the Sale Guessing Game and find out!

Eye Candy: Effortless Anthro Reader Outfits!

On a lazy Saturday morning, what could be better than taking some time out to see what the dress forms are wearing in Anthropologie stores? It's time for another edition of Eye Candy: Store Inspiration. Kicking things off is a photo above from the new Harbor East Anthropologie that seems familiar to me in the most wonderful way.

Anthropologie expands the flowy with new stores on the way

Anthropologie continues its mission to have 250 or so stores open in North America, with a few new stores slated to open this month and announcements of  more on the way.

Anthropologie wants us to read its lips

Anthropologie's beauty collections have mostly been collaborations up til now (I'm still in love with the Le Labo concrete parfum going on a year after they were unveiled!). Slowly but surely though Anthro is stirring up the in-house magic and creating beauty items of its own.

Anthropologie is known for its animal philanthropy and this month once again Anthro stores around the country will play host to pet adoption events and supply drives. All throughout September Anthropologie will be holding events at select stores. During these events the participating stores will be accepting donations of pet supplies and select stores will also have animals in-store that need a good home during adoption events. Anthropologie's not the only one having a sale today

Oh ladies, the closet cleanout is on in the roxy turtle household big time. I'm making room for less clutter and letting some clothing go that no longer works for me. Help me feed the contest fund and my travel fund and I'll help you build your own wonderful closet! Interested in purchasing one of my items for sale? Email me. I mail out twice a week.

It's the end of summer but the start of Anthropologie's SALE!

Anthropologie's markdowns came a day late this week due to Labor Day. Was it worth the wait? In some ways yes, though this isn't quite the sale I was hoping for. Anthro missed an opportunity to drum up excitement for the brand heading into fall -- many summer stragglers remain stubbornly full price while waiting to make new cuts hurts against other retailers who ran promotions over the weekend. Highlights and the list after the jump.

Playing the Sale Guessing Game {again}!

Greetings from somewhere on the water off Manhattan, where I'm spending this cloudy but lovely Labor Day afternoon on boat (like a boss). Hopefully we won't end up like Russell Crowe. After a false start yesterday sale is due to be here tomorrow and I'm still pretty excited! I am very sad though that Anthropologie's current 25% off clothing and shoe sale items promotion ends tonight and the newest markdowns won't reflect that 25% discount. What will be on sale tomorrow? Let's play the Sale Guessing Game and find out!
