Dear Tucson Anthropologie Store,
I want to take this opportunity to thank you. I visit you often, on average once a week. As soon as I walk in your associates are happy to see me, smiling, and offering my daughter Siena a sticker. Shopping at your store is like a treasure hunt. Yes, you may be smaller than your big-city brethren and not carry as many styles or sizes, but you make up for it with excellent customer service. Whether it's taking the time to get to know me as a customer, offering my daughter markers to color on the fitting room mirror, or inviting us to events, you always grow my loyalty. But I am not alone. I remember they day you opened. This was a big event in my city; I recall a newspaper article about it! I took most of the day off work so I could be one of your first customers, and I was not alone---the store was packed. This was six years ago, and since then I have had a child, who now counts Anthro as her favorite store. She can hardly wait to go visit you!

I love how you offer candy to kids in costume on Halloween, have dog treats for our furry friends, and sponsor doggie adoption events. When it is hot here in the desert you provide a pitcher of cool, iced water at the entrance of the store. In the fitting rooms you have cookies and more water waiting. In the chill of winter you have hot chocolate and yummy treats, which is so nice and thoughtful.

And let’s talk about your fitting rooms. Since you are situated on the second floor of an outdoor mall, the huge window in your fitting room area provides a lovely view of the desert. One can sit on the couch beneath it and just gaze out at the scenery. My husband always appreciates the comfortable “man couches” on which he can sit and relax while I try on and model clothes. My daughter likes looking at books on your coffee tables when she’s not drawing on my fitting room mirror. It’s a win-win for all of us.

I especially appreciate that I can let you know I am looking for an item, and if it comes in you will hold my size and call me to let me know it’s available. You are also really good at coordinating charge-sends when I need to hunt down an item at another store. Thanks to you I got the last purple Gumshoe Sweatercoat in my size in the country! Imagine how surprised and delighted I was when, a few days after visiting your store looking for the item, I received a call from a California store letting me know my local Tucson store had coordinated with them to get this item for me. Now that is customer service!

I can’t imagine how sad I would be if you were to leave town. While I have matured and my tastes have changed and evolved I know I can always find something special to love at your store.
