This month's anthro: in our own words newsletter arrived today and it's awesome. (They always are.) It's not the topic I expected them to cover -- I was hoping for more on the catalogue shoot at Los Pazas. But on a sort of related note the newsletter instead delves into the inspiration Anthropologie's design team draws from travel.
Specifically the email rips pages from the home design director's Bali travel journal. Vivid photos are linked with home products meant to evoke the same feelings and color palette. It's fascinating stuff. Anthro created a flickr album with many of the shots. Why the employee is unnamed I don't know. It takes something away from the human element this newsletter is supposed to provide.
