March catalogue preview and FREE SHIPPING is back!!

Some Anthro news and eye candy in this post! Thanks to Maureen who gave us the heads up that Free Shipping looks to be back for anthro members! Not sure if this is US only or if our international friends are included. As of now looks to be no minimum which I love, because $150+ is J.Crew shenanigans and has no place at Anthropologie. Just hoping this is a real promo...email upcoming I hope. If you're not an anthro member you can sign up here. What are you going to buy with Free Shipping? Curious minds want to know!!!

Did you international Anthro fans see the announcement yesterday? Guess who now ships to Australia? (And 90 more countries!) Visit Anthro's International site for the complete details. And one final note -- Anthropologie is coming to New Orleans!

Looks like the upcoming March catalogue is going to be filled with eye candy galore! Below are some of my favorite images -- see more in my Facebook album. Shop the new arrivals here.

I just want to know for how long?!

Of course free shipping is back NOW... 12 hours after I ordered and paid 8.95 in S&H.

Boo, luck. Lol.

The Drifting by Dress = lovely!!!

I picked up the Climbing Cowlneck in Pink and the Silken Trellis Dress. The dress just happened to pop up on my wishlist a few days ago, but I refused to pay shipping because I didn't know about the length. But sure I'll buy it with FS! I, too, just placed an order last week with the sale..grrr

Maureen M said...

Oh man this is too tempting! I'm struggling whether I should purchase some of my older wish list items hmmmm...

lleila said...

I love everything at Anthro right now but I am not buying anything just yet so I hope fs lasts for a while :)

Chloe said...

Great post, Roxy! And I'm with J- the Drifting by Dress is *divine*. I just hope that it isn't the sort of cream-color that completely blends in with my skin tone, hm.

And yay! Free shipping! I missed it. And just like Allie, I placed an order the other day. D'oh.

Allie S. said...

Sara, isn't that so aggravating? I wish we could get reimbursed.

Oh, the Blooming Lattice Cardi is so up my alley! Must... wait... in hopes... of eventual sale... or my birthday! Whichever comes first. I'm hoping for that 15% coupon I keep hearing about.

By the way, Roxy, I'd like to thank you for your blog, of course, and for your extensive info on store searches. I called CS on Monday afternoon looking for the Decorating Committee Cardi and was put in touch with a faraway Anthro. Ot arrived one day later on Tuesday! (I was stunned; the stores really go above and beyond for their customers.) Had it not been for your posts, I would never have thought to do that, so thanks!

hmm, why is free shipping not showing up in my cart??!! I have an online account. Is there something else I need to do??

And can I just say, the bootie/sandals in the last outfit are insane? Want:

Many Roads Booties

I hadn't noticed them before, but *grabs*

Jax+Puzzle said...

YES!! I just emailed them about free shipping a few days ago! I told them that there is not a store within two hours of me and I am in college/will be a grad student and that shipping charges stop me from ordering all the time. I want to shop but I am on hiatus for a little while...

But I am so thrilled!!

for FS you need to link your acct to the anthro card

Joy said...

i have that little yellow "my.anthropologie" card... is that what you need for free shipping? type in that number on the back? just log in on the site?

Anonymous said...

Joy: yes and link to your online account.

Fragrant Valley Dress is mine! Let's hope it fits! lol

christine said...

If I don't get the Blooming Lattice cardigan I think I will die a very painful death.

sara22185 said...

Just an FYI, there is a Cropped Pattern Dress in the October catalog in size 14. Also there are sizes 4, 6,8, and 12 in the Snowscape Tank and sizes 2 and 4 in the Glimmering Magnolia Dress in the November catalog. Also size 8 Skyfall Dress and size 14 In-A-Moment Dress (purple) in the December catalog.

Thanks so much for the free shipping heads up Roxy!! I'm so excited!
That Drifting by Dress is screaming my name and just in time for my upcoming birthday!!

Anonymous said...

How do you link your online account to your my anthro card?

Jessebel said...

Eeks! I may just snap up some goodies. However, I'm still holding out hope (and luck) that the Night Blooming Dress will go on sale next week.

D said...

Hi Anon,

After signing into your account, you can link your anthro card here:

http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/user/loyaltyId_register.jsp

Hope this helps! :)

D,
I got an error message when I tried :(

Thanks for the info Roxy! There are too many great things online right now; this will take some deliberation on what to get.

Hi Aly,

Hmm, that's odd. I just tried copying and pasting that link into my address bar and it worked for me. Are you signed into your account?

Here's the main page for the my anthro program. There should be a link that says "link anthro to your account" to the left. See if that works!

Ack, here's the link:

yee, free shipping! & drifting by dress <333

roxy said...

Alyssa - shoot an email to customer service (service@anthropologie.com).

Betsy said...

Okay, so this is kind of a minor quibble, but I still find it odd... has anyone else noticed that in several of the current straight-on product shots online, the mannequin is slightly turned to the side? It's particularly noticeable with the Gentleman Caller blouse, the Magnified Geranium blouse, and the new Dreaming in Green skirt. Again, a minor issue, but still sort of strange. One of the things I've always loved about Anthro's site is their careful attention to detail in the mannequin shots.

lindsey..elizabeth said...

If only I had waited 10 hours, I just placed an order last night :(

BUT...YAY! for free shipping!! My wallet is hiding and shaking in the corner.

Chelsea said...

Alternate method to link your anthro card to your online account:

1. Log into your account
2. Go to http://my.anthropologie.com
3. Click "link anthro to your account" on the left sidebar
4. Enter in the number on the back of your card
5. Card is linked! Free shipping appears.

Carly said...

Sigh. I'm excited that y'all get free shipping, but I just checked and there's no free shipping for Canadians :-( A few weeks ago I had to pay $35 for shipping. Ridiculous.

Yvonne said...

Yes shipping to Canada is so expensive. I plan to get my orders shipped to the UPS store in Ogdensburg, which is about a 45 minute drive for me. They charge a $5 holding fee per package. But since you can get free shipping in the U.S., it's worth it.

oh wow, the new orleans location is going to be really great for them. the pottery barn there now has a beautiful winding staircase.

OoOoOo that drifting by dress will be mine!

Oh dear. Oh dear. Oh dear. My budget is cringing.

Patti said...

Argh! I just ordered yesterday, too! Although considering that my anthro is 30 min away + the price of gas, the shipping is really *probably* worth it...

Anonymous said...

I cracked and ordered the Drifting By Dress. I worked 5 blocks from an Anthro so it's so easy to do returns. Will let y'all know how it turns out!

Red Leslie said...

Hooray! The Manisa dress popped into my wish list in size 14 on Saturday and I've practically been giving myself an ulcer trying to figure out how to afford it before someone else snatched it up. With the free shipping I managed to scrape enough $$ together to buy it and as I suspected, it was the only 1 available because it is gone from the list again. I can't believe it stayed there for 5 days!! Thank you universe!

I saw the Glassflower Cardi in my store on Sunday and wanted to try it on BAD but they did not have any sizes bigger than a medium. Brand new and already no big sizes :(

Anonymous said...

oh no! I'm in trouble now. Thanks for the heads up Roxy - I think. A question to anyone who knows - is there a benefit to using the Wish List to monitor items I pine for as opposed to my shopping bag? I've been using my shopping bag and then when I "need" (my man would argue the correct verb is "want" but why quibble over semantics) to make a purchase I select "save for later" on all the items I'm not ready to purchase.

I ordered the Fragrant Valley dress ... I have been waiting for it to appear on the site ever since I saw it on VJinLA. I hope it looks as good on me as it does on her :)

Hi Roxy,
Thanks for the heads-up on the free shipping! Very OT, but do you have some simple styling suggestions for the Green Caranday Dress? Just curious. Thanks so much!

Ooh, I want the Wind Catcher Dress! And I have my eye on the Bayan Dress, although the first review makes me pretty nervous about ordering it... I wish there was an Anthro store within 100 miles of my house!

YAY! Thanks for posting Roxy! :)

Thank you so so much! I don't live in the US, but have a US address, and I put off ordering because of the $15-20 it would cost to ship! I just got a lot of things I've been dreaming of. Thanks for letting everyone know about this Roxy!

Yay thanks for the post Roxy! Too bad I placed 5 separate orders last week. Did anyone else get a survey in their email for some tees today?

Hello Ladies,
Does anyone know the link for the July 2007 Catalog? I have been regretting, well kicking myself in the pants really, for losing the paper copy I had... Moving over seas (I miss you Anthropologie) will do that I suppose!

I have been able to manipulate most of the links back through 2006, just cant seem to find what they did for June and July of 2007. Any help would be lovely!! And, if anyone is interested in a more complete list please email me, I will be happy to share.

Cheers to all...

Thanks for the heads up on free shipping Roxy (and Maureen)!

Anon at 1:28 or whoever can answer this Q.-

How many items did you have on your wishlists before the memory was used up? When you run out of memory are you still able to access your wishlists and just not be able to add more items?
I'm dreading the day when loading my wishlists crashes my computer...

Anonymous said...

Did anyone order and get no tax also? Does Anthro always have no tax? I was pretty sure I got taxed before.

roxy said...

I am also curious as to when the memory runs out. My wishlist currently has 289 items on it (hee) and while it takes awhile to load it's all there.

Anonymous said...

Also, does anyone know if they have sent out any March birthday coupons? Mine is the first week of March and I don't know whether to call them to ask. That would really help the bank account:)

Stephanie said...

@Anon at 5:52 - No tax depends on the state you live, I live in PA so I don't pay taxes on clothes. Most of the time, Anthro online will put the taxes on my order but it doesn't actually process the tax it just that there online system doesn't know the state until the order is finished processing, I had asked CS about that before.

Anonymous said...

Hi Ladies,
I am sorry to cause a concern for you. "it runs out of the memory" is just a phrase/metaphore I used to say that I have saved many items in my wishlist already. The new items might not have room to stay in my wishlist. I accidently stir a technical concern for you. For that I am sorry.
Although I might add that I at point time in my life had saved 476items in my shopping bag (out of stock and no longer available stuff from eons ago). It took literally 10+ hours for me to access into my account, and it took me another 18/3 days to clean it up. It was no fun when I wanted to place a pair of Stacked Smoke heels and Open Wing heels on the sale day. Of course, I missed the shoes my size.

Just ordered the sidewise denim skirt. It's hard to believe the extra $6 was holding me back, but it was. Free shipping is the best. Thanks for the tip.

J. said...

Ouch!
10+ hours to load the shopping cart?
My shopping cart is a mess as well, I use it to check on the stock left on an item, I should probably tidy it up especially since FS is back again...

Roxy, is that 289 items on one wishlist? I currently have around 320 items saved amongst 5 wishlists, not sure if spreading them out over diff. wishlists makes a difference memory wise or not.
How big are other peeps wishlists?

roxy said...

J. - yep, 289 on one wishlist, and I'm about to add at least 10 more items tonight. :) By the way my wishlist is public so anyone who's interested can go to the Anthropologie site, click on wishlists and find mine by searching for my email addy.

Anonymous said...

Hey Roxy,
this is cool. I was able to add some items I missed from your wishlist to mine. They are not on-line anymore.
Thanks.

Scarlet said...

If I bought something for less in store than the price is online, is there any way I can get CS to match the in store price? Thanks!

Tien said...

Scarlet--I've been told numerous times that the stores will match the online prices, but online will not match the store prices. It's certainly worth a try, though!

Molly Darling said...

I must have the curling posies cardi in blue and chantico tank in gray. And I don't have FS- looks like $10 flat rate.

Tien said...

Molly--I just ordered the Drifting By Dress and I didn't get charged shipping. Do you have the express shipping selected? That's showing as a flat $10 for me.

roxy said...

Anon @ 5:56 - it's still a bit early for March bday coupons. You should get it before the 10th of your birthday month.

Molly Darling said...

Oh Tien- did you get that dress? I loooove it- it's going to look so great on you.

And yes, I did have express shipping checked by default- thank you :)

Re: Wishlists

The limit seems to be 450 per wishlist, although somehow I managed to get mine up to 650 before this message showed up:

"To add a new item to your Wish List, please create or select another Wish List, or lower your item count to below 450 for the Wish List you have selected."

Oh my gosh I LOVE the Oroya Dress and the Drifting By Dress. All I need is more dresses too haha.

By the way I've been reading the blog for just over two weeks now and I love it - this is my first post :)

Glad I could find some other wonderful ladies who share my love for Anthro!

roxy said...

Tara KM - welcome to the community! :)

Ade said...

hey roxy,

so this is a late response to this post and your Q... but i think what i'm getting with free shipping are the black and grey snakebites. i'm on a serious spending freeze now... not of the "oh, i really shouldn't but, okay just this once" variety, more like the "holy shit i need to pay taxes soon" type, you know? :-) those belts are the only things that i really, really want and feel like i may not be able to find in store. plus i guess now it works in my favor that i won't be charged for them until the ship date... june??!?! oh well, i'll try to think of it as a positive for my bank account!

cravenmaven said...

I wish they had free shipping for anthro card holders more often..i totally caved and bought something from my wishlist just cos it was free shipping. ok that AND because I was having a bad day hehe. it's no longer bad!
