How pretty is this dress? Absolutely gorgeous. It's the Floating Forsythia Dress ($148) by Girls From Savoy. Too bad this dress wasn't available in-store to try on.

Instead I got this impostor. Oh sure it looks like the same dress and it's labeled as the same dress but it's not the same dress. First of all the v-shaped shoulder straps have been shortened by a good two or three inches, pulling the dress up closer to my neck. Secondly the soft fluttering skirt has been replaced by something less significant. I really wish I could have tried on the dress from the catalog. It looks beautiful.
This was my true size 6. With the highler neckline my chest looks droopy and the belt isn't really doing anything for me. It also hugged my tush closely but, well, I didn't mind that so much. The pressed chiffon has a gauzy feel to it. The dress is promising. I am not happy with the fit though. Back to the rack.

As many of the reviews on the product page state, the belt on the Longing-For-Yellow Dress ($158) by Moulinette Soeurs was changed after the product photo but before the store release. Instead there are three small buttons in the center front. The middle button on my true size 6 was such a pain to button that I left it undone. I will say this -- the belt was the perfect circumference for me. It will be very hit and miss since the belt isn't adjustable.
This dress has a classic shape. The pockets are laudable. The layer of crinoline underneath was all at the bum apparently given the far right shot. I liked how the dress looked on me (from the front anyway) but it's a little too twee for my style. I only wish I had days to frolic in the fields in this one. Worth a shot but back to the rack for me.

Tabitha's Bougainvillea Cardigan ($128) is amazing. Tabitha has had such awesome stuff over the last few months. I'm pleased with the consistent sizing as well. This cardigan is nice and long with ruffles aplenty. I tried on my true size medium and the fit felt good, though looking at these pictures I might size up to a large to buy.
I'm 5'8" but for petites this cardigan could probably be a dress. You would probably need a slip or something underneath since the front is shorter. I like the open styling of the catalog shot as well. The material is soft cotton with just a hint of stretch. The 3/4 sleeves are questionable to me. Otherwise it's pretty fantastic and the newest wishlist addition.
