New arrivals: They will never call us plain or dull

RicRac's Feathery Tank ($68) with the Over-Under Belt ($38)
and C. Keer's Pratia Tank ($68, review here)

Already it's easy to discern one thing from Anthropologie's spring collection: it's cheery. The palette is warm, vivid and (of course) embellished. Every time I think Anthro has done ruffles every possible way they can be done out comes a new shirt with adornments placed in a new way. The good news is I like all of it. The bad news is I want all of it!

Whether draped like Odille's Striped Pursuit Top ($98) , ruffled like one.september's Suave Shell ($78) and Collected Corolla Tee ($78, review here, now in pink for spring!) or bowed like Lil's Gentle Waves Shell ($88) or Fei's beautiful but short Off-the-Tie-Rack Blouse ($118), all tops aim to please. The Odille top is especially tempting to me -- I dream of wearing it around Greece, maybe while riding on the back of a cute boy's scooter?

If you're looking for an easier shape Anthro has you covered still. The diagonal ruffles on the Oscillating Folds Blouse ($88) by Sine are made to flatter while the mixed media of Odille's Garden Hedge Top ($78) are making me laugh. Betsy gave Fei's Tandem Jump Blouse ($88) a go here and liked everything but the exposed zipper. Tiny's Tribal Rhythm Tank ($98) is a darker version of their Dewy Meadow Tunic ($98, review here) that hopefully does not share the sheerness issues. Lest you forget that Odille is also the master of flattering blouses they introduce their simple yet elegant Ad Infinitum Blouse ($68).

The lineup for dresses so far seems to be bold, bold, bold. Moulinette Soeurs gives the wrap dress a try with their Blooming Sapphire Wrap Dress ($148). I gravitated towards Leifsdottir's oddly-named Precious Stones Dress ($258, review here) which gives me the Alice in Wonderland-harlequin vibe. I remember seeing the Lotus Awakening Dress ($278) at Leifsdottir's Spring 2010 presentation (SO exciting to see the items start to hit stores) while the Woven Chroma Dress ($278) is a zig-zag surprise. I tried on Moulinette Soeurs' Akebia Dress ($168) yesterday and will have a review up later this week.

On the sweater front some pieces that have been in stores for awhile finally made it online. Front and center would be Charlotte Tarantola's Field Game Cardigan ($118, review here) though I prefer the three more inches of material from the Bloomingdales version. Sparrow's Blushing Bouquet Cardigan($88) got the guest review treatment. I love the rich tones of the Rain Pools Cardigan ($88), also by Sparrow and there's just a hint of sparkle and sheen to Moth's Shimmering Pin-Up Cardigan ($88).

We Love Vera's Stars And Stripes Skirt ($88) invites you to do your patriotic duty a bit early and has Sousa marches floating through my head. Or perhaps you prefer the artistic renderings of Leifsdottir's Simian Tableau Skirt ($188). Sweet dreams are made of Lilka's Paint The Night Chemise ($58) which comes in two intriguing color palettes. And while I love the look of the Linear Loungers ($58) by So Low, the 33" inseam is too short for my lounging needs.
