As someone who loves ruffles it pains me to admit that ruffles are beginning to ruffle my feathers a bit. They're everywhere! On blouses. On jackets. On sweaters. On dresses. On purses. On hair accessories. On trenches. I have no doubt that if pants can be ruffled they will be. It's ruffle overkill! Even Prince is asking us to back down a bit.
Then along comes the Dewpoint Blouse ($68) by Odille. And I think to myself, oh maybe one more ruffle shirt. I love how the green version has khaki contrast on the ruffles. I love how the grey version has blue and black smoky hues. I saw this and instantly pictured it tucked into a pencil skirt and bloused out or paired with skinny jeans, a tailored jacket and a killer pair of high-heeled boots. Goldenmeans reviewed it and I saw perfection.

I tried on the grey because the green was not available in my size. This isn't actually my size either -- it's an 8. Which is close but was a bit too big around the sides and in back. Close enough to know how awesome this shirt is though. I have nothing but kind words for any brand that lets me close a button-down without gaps. Thank you Odille for being a friend to breasts. I wish this top came in white as it would satisfy the white shirt item on my fall shopping list.
Also great: the shirt tapers ever so slightly at the waist and then floats away again. So if you're straight shaped it creates lovely curves and if you're curvy it's a gentle reminder that hourglasses are where it's at. I honestly can't think of one bad thing to say about this top. Except to ask where were these shapes over the summer?
Eenie meenie miney moe. Does this top stay in or should it go?
